The Tuscan sea - Castiglione della Pescaia

Today I’m writing from Tuscany, a land that I love and where I go whenever I can.
I had never been, however, to Castiglione. So the other day I visited it and I took some photos to share with you.
The upper part of the town is a charming medieval village within short walking distance.

The alleys of the village are delightful: it was pleasant to walk around them and discover characteristic details in every corner.

The houses are nice and looked after very well.

At the end of the village there is an ancient fortress which, however, cannot be visited, being private.

Continuing to climb I arrived at the panoramic viewpoint from where I could admire the colours of the sea of Castiglione, what a sight!

I got back to the harbour area along this alley: it is wonderful, isn’t it?
