Fishing villages on the Amalfi Coast - Vietri sul Mare

When it’s not full season yet or when the weekend seems far off I love visiting places which are usually very crowded. Since I also love walking, a couple of days ago I went on foot to Vietri sul Mare, the first village of the Amalfi Coast. It is less than 4 km from Salerno and it took me about 45 minutes to get there.
As soon as I arrived, the vision of the rocks called ‘The two brothers’, an icon of Vietri sul Mare, welcomed me.

I stopped to admire a birds-eye view of the calm, crystal clear sea. No boats, no people, only nature which gave me a wonderful feeling of serenity.

The alleys of the fishing village are decorated with various items of pottery for which Vietri sul Mare is famous all over the world.

Dream villas overlook the sea.

On the beach the rows of umbrellas give us a taste of the atmosphere of summer that seems to be almost arriving, at last. We just have to live it, have a good summer!
